[Connectivity] Small but annoying loss

Hey, I live in the Chicago area with comcast and I've been experiencing some small loss when trying to play some games online (namely, Counter-Strike or HL mods). I remember noticing that this happened ever since i've lived here about a year ago, where every so often i will get these lag spikes that last about 1-2 seconds. It is not a huge problem, but it is very annoying.

I have pinged my gateway and found that I get timed out, which leads me to believe that the problem is on my end and not comcast. I am on a wireless connection, my laptop which is also connected wirelessly does not experience this loss. I have a linksys and when I use WZC instead of the linksys monitor I experience no difference.

Here are the ping results to one of my servers i play a game on:

Any help is appreciated.

run the same ping test with a hardwired connection and the device that is dropping, just to confirm if its the wireless connection or not. Do you have any other wireless devices located next to your router?
