I've been thinking positive, but...

After visiting North GA in spring for the past two years, my reply to the local bitchin' about our rain was "I'll take the rain over a drought," but with today through Sunday off from work, and rain in the forecast, enough is enough!!!

There, my turn to complain.

It's rained here every day this week!!! Not s'posed to quit 'til late today or early Saturday. Locally, not a lot of rain... just enough to curb most outdoor activities. Somewhat of a constant heavy mist most of the time with a few brief downpours interspersed for good measure. We needed the rain, but this is really depressing.

www.stopfcc.comI do not think the government needs to restrict free speech especially on a device that has an off knob.

My brother's been pleading with me to make the rain stop.

I don't like rain much, either. Slightly hydrophobic, I am. (This has to do with a medical issue I had in my youth. Perhaps I ought to mention, too, that hydrophobia is also one of the first symptoms of rabies.)

Shes lucky there was an article in the local paper where they had to tow 50 cars from that parking lot.

yep she has video of it, pictures and was only 1/2 a parking lot away from where the cars got flooded.

but its much harder to flood a suv

if they took my car they would have floated home...real gas saver i hear

I'm glad all that rain is finally out of the picture! Rain usually doesn't bother me, I just tell myself better rain than snow, but that was seriously starting to depress me.

Welcome, Summer!

My inground pool is back above 80F as of yesterday. Long live the solar heater panels that I put on the roof

The sun has returned, and so I'm a happy boy

Putting two layers of fertilizer on the lawn in Spring to beef it up for an outdoor baby shower has created a green jungle, but I'm not complaining.

I lived in the Sonoran Desert for a few years. Boy did I miss the rain! When it rains it is like a joyful holiday there, rain is so very welcome!

I feel for you guys getting a months worth of cold and non stop precipitation, but I know what it is like with a draut and I'll take rain first. Last summer we were in a draut here and our drinking water tasted like mold and mildew, it was hideous! Folks here were getting really nervous about the lack of rain.

I don't know what they are going to do in GA. I know they tried annex/stealing some border land to get at the water supply and a battle of two states ensued.

GA is definitely NOT a place I want to live, neither is FLA. I'd go back to Tucson if I could find steady work there, though, but that is not likely.

I am thankful that it didn't rain every day during my trip up there which just ended. Sunday was nice at the beach in R.I.
