Don't know what kind of settings you have with OSX, but the outgoing server requires authentication. OE just has a check box on the servers tab to authenticate with same credentials (user/pass) as on the pop server.
Try your wife's on port 587. |

@verizon.net | I think I may have gotten it all sussed. I had 2 verizon outgoings in the Mail app.
My wifes was fine, as it turned out, there just wasn't any new mail at 6:30AM.
