Re: Software to check SSD drive in an EeePC HD Tune has a block (not sector) scanner which you can run (in non-Quick mode) that will tell you if there's any errors. It's a read-only scanner, by the way, so it won't test for write errors.
I don't recommend testing for write errors on SSDs, at least not in the same fashion as hard disks.
