Re: Rate My Build. Making any mistakes?

I run 2 back ups actually. I have a 1tb external that copies my "data". I have a HP Media Smart server with 2.5tb copying the whole PC also. Both of these happen daily.

Still not sure ill try the raid out. Maybe on my next format.

Question.... I noticed my motherboard has the 8 pin (2 x 4 pin) plug for the power supply. Most boards you just use 1 4 pin? The board shipped with the second set of 4 pins covered so I just used 1 of the 4 pins. My power supply does have a plug for both.. should I be using both?

Its running fine right now with one set plugged in.

Look at page 2-36 in your motherboard manual.

Yes I had read that, but it reads like bad stereo instructions to me. I am sorry for the noobie question. Do I connect just 1 or 2? I have a 650w power supply that has both plugs. Currently running just one of them.

Ideally you should use all 8 pins of the aux 12v connector.

If it is running stable you could just leave well enough alone. It should be ok.

I will plug it in on next reboot then. Thanks!
