How does it make no sense? Failed Fuel Pump = No Fuel = No Start. The lack of spark can mean quite a few things, but not much about the spark plugs themselves.

You have 2 choices now:
a) buy or borrow a battery charger
b) call a shop and let them do the work

Charge the battery. If you don't have a battery charger, then time to call your favorite shop so they can tow the car to their shop. You won't diagnose the problem by running the battery down hoping it will start

If a vehicle does not start within a reasonable amount of cranking.....
DO NOT keep cranking on it thinking that something will change......

Fuel, spark and air (aka compression). Without all 3, it will not start.
