I'm already paying $4 more for static IP

Does this mean I can call in and get MLPPP for free?

Thats great.

Another question. Will I be forced to use MLPPP or can I switch between?

For example, I use a 2wire modem/router so when I connect to MLPPP within windows my other networked machines cant connect to the internet.

I would use MLPPP sparingly only to bypass the throttle for the occasional torrent.

·TekSavvy Solutions..

my setup for clients is a linux box (deb) which does the routing / mlppp for int/ext network. all you need in this box is two network cards 10/100 or 100/1000.

a gig network card costs $40 no need for better.

Setup difficulty: Advanced user

i use this method because it is seemless for the person and they don't need to worry about anything just using the computer as usal. I'm not sure if this is going over what you wanted but a solution

the windows method you mentioned will also work and is simple to setup.

When you sign up for MLPPP, you'll be given a new login that will always connect to TekSavvy's new dedicated MLPPP hardware. However, you'll still be able to connect to it with or without MLPPP.
