Port forwarding entries?

Buffalo WHR-HP-54g running Tomato 1.23. I have these entries under port forwarding.
Port Forwarding
On Proto Src Address Ext Ports Int Port Int Address Description
UDP 1000,2000 192.168.1.2 ex: 1000 and 2000
Both 1000-2000,3000 192.168.1.2 ex: 1000 to 2000, and 3000
Both 1.1.1.0/24 1000-2000 192.168.1.2 ex: 1000 to 2000, restricted
TCP 1000 2000 192.168.1.2 ex: different internal port
TCPUDPBoth

I did not put them there and I was wondering what they are and I should delete them. They all point to 192.168.1.2. I used to have a different Ethernet bridge attached using that address. The bridge is now on 192.168.1.3. Are these needed for the bridge? Should I change the bridge address back for it to function properly? Or should I delete these entries.
These entries are found on the router and bridge.

Re: Port forwarding entries?

Get rid of them...

You need port forwarding entries if
- You have a web cam or ftp server accessed on the Internet
- Certain games that run on your PC and have Internet-based opponents
- You use certain Internet-based file backup service

That's about all I can think of.
Normally, port forwarding and virtual server/trigger ports are never automatically created by software you install. Cannot be. So someone created those entries.

Tell your router admin funcition to save settings to a file on your PC. Then you can delete some/all of these and see what impact it has to use of your PC. You can revert, using the saved settings and the router admin.

Don't use any port forwarding settings you don't need. Creates a serious security hole, if those port forwards direct data to one of your active PCs.

deleted!
Now I get to wonder how they got there in the first place?

I have discovered those same entries on my router.
Tomato 1.23 (have flashed to 1.25 but that was just yesterday)
I was about to removed them right away. Glad I found this thread.
I run a few more server apps that need open ports, but still do not know how those other entries got there.
Thanks for confirming
