Re: [TWC] Two-Way DVRs Avaialble Central TX 3rd Week in July?? Sorry...I've got my devices a bit mixed up...what is supposed to be available are the Tru-Two Way Cable Cards NOT the multi-room DVRs. Didn't have my coffee before I posted, apparently.

All I can tell you is what the CSR told me, and I can't vouch for the accuracy of same. The question I asked was: "When will multi-room DVRs be available in my area. What I was told was that they had no idea about that, but that Tru2Way CableCards would be available the third week of July. I don't dispute your description of the cable card spec...heck I used one a few years ago in a Sony XBR960 TV when I was with Comcast in another city. From looking at the card information pages when it was working, it appeared to have an IP address and so I would imagine it was, in some way a two way card. I'm not an expert on the Tru2Way spec. so I don't profess to offer any useful information about it here. Frankly, I couldn't care less about any cable cards, two way or any way. All I want is a multi-room DVR.

| Ok, what it sounds like is that the local system is going to be ready to support retail 3rd party tru2way devices and they will be able to provision/issue CableCards for those devices if requested. |
