You can make your own 3-D images with a digital camera and Photoshop.
Here is one that I did, using the technique described here...

The one difference: Since these glasses are green and magenta, in step 4, select the red and blue channels vice the green and blue channels.
Follow the steps carefully. I used a tripod to make sure that the two photos were individually aligned. This was for a different technique that I tried a few years back, as seen in this animated gif...

| reply to munson15 said by munson15 : I actually can't believe they're still trying to market "3D" anything at this point. After all, who really needs "3D" in the High Def age? If you have not seen an IMAX movie in 3D you don't know what you're missing. And so sorry, but not even FiOS HD holds a candle to that (U2 3D was nothing short of incredible). |

| I saw the U2 3D show at the Bob Bullock Texas History museum in Austin back in 2008, while at an engineering conference. It was awesome. Definitely better than anything I have ever watched in HD.
They used the polarized glasses for the show. The polarization technique yields a much better result. -- That's how you be great! That's how you be great! Oh my goodness man, we did it, baby! |

I've only seen the 3D in the regular DLP theater. I'm looking forward to seeing the 25 minutes of 3D in the next Harry Potter movie at the DLP IMAX theater(or should I say IMAX lite since it's at AMC) |

I have found that these glasses work on the 3D version of Coraline that's on DVD. I think these should work for a all the 3d movies they are going to be releasing to dvd in the future. |

The video clip looked OK, but not as good as your images. |

2 edits | reply to Earleyp I got my (6) 3D Glasses yesterday and we sat down to watch Shark Boy and Lava Girl and I gotta say I was pretty disappointed. My twin 6 year old boys didn't like it either and we ended up stopping the film. So.. this morning I placed an order for a few "Pro-X Professional Anaglyph 3D Glasses" 3D Glasses from Rainbow Symphony. Hopefully these will yield a better viewing experience.
BTW - We were watching in a dark room, 5 feet away on a 47" LCD standard DVD playback from a PS3.
I guess you get what ya pay for -

The pairs you received from verizon are magenta/green glasses. They aren't compatible with each other. You can use the pairs from verizon to watch "My Bloody Valentine", "Coraline", and "Journey to the Center of the Earth". |

Are you sure about that? The order form does not say this. When dealing with Verizon I would not assume that the absence of a price equates to free. Good possibility they will try to charge your account anyway, unless it is specifically stated as being free.
