I've installed Windows 7 (32 bit beta) on an older PC with just 1 GB. I subsequently upgraded it to 1.5 GB. That did improve performance somewhat. I also have a newer PC which I bumped from 2 GB to 4 GB and ran the 32 and 64 bit beta and now the 64 bit RC on. The bump from 2 to 4 GB made almost no difference.
You shouldn't have trouble running Windows 7 on your PC, in my experience going from 2 to 4 GB doesn't affect overall system performance that much. At least not for the stuff I do. -- "People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use." |
