[Wireless] laptop card to use w/WZR-HP-G300NH?

Ordering a WZR-HP-G300NH. Looking for suggestions for a laptop card (32bit cardbus) to use with the router for my gf's Inspiron 8500. She'll be using it from about 15-50 feet from router, 1 wall to go thru. Also have a laptop in upstairs bedroom, doesn't get used much but will probably get the same card for that one too.

Considering the Trendnet TEW-641PC ($28 @ newegg) or possibly the TEW-621PC ($60).

It's up to you, but I would tend to go with The buffalo brand, for compatibility issues.

As for Trendnet, it may not be the case anymore but the g card I have in my laptop has run well, but there were driver issues from the start that the manufacturer had no interest in fixing. Trendnet's attitude seemed to be that it was time for me to upgrade. I had to find the hardware manufacturer's driver and it still runs well today. No thanks to Trendnet. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it was still supported but Trendnet withheld that information. With that sour taste that may well be the last Trendnet item in my system.

Re: [Wireless] laptop card to use w/WZR-HP-G300NH?

The only issue is Buffalo doesn't offer any N laptop cards just USB adapters. My girlfriends laptop doesn't seem to like USB wireless adapters. We tried a couple different Linksys (currently running a WRT54G router) and her connection only got stable when I put a card (Belkin) in.

Got the router today, works great. Got an Encore ENPWI-N 32-bit cardbus laptop card (Ralink based) for $30 and it works great (270mps) in fiance's Inspiron 8500.

Trendnet TEW-641PC is Realtek base you just have to contact Realtek and they''ll send you the driver with uliity for the card. Just need to know you have RTL8190. If you send me IM I'll give you the link where you can download the newer drivers for this card. Otherwise you can use any N card for this router. Doesn't have to be the same brand name.
