Re: Free 3D Glasses From Fios

Thanks, but use the digitally signed "https" web site instead: »https://fios3d.verizon.com/ I ordered a 6-pack.

Do the glasses work for this NASA picture? Sarychev Peak Volcano in Stereo It needs red on left eye, blue on right eye.

It works if you cross your eyes while looking at the photo

I was hoping that these glasses would be useful for something other than a movie.

These glasses are magenta/green, which means they probably won't be useful for much else. After you are done with them, you can throw them in a drawer with the yellow/blue glasses from the 3D Chuck episode.

Most 3D glasses are red/blue, but they also come in red/green, red/green-blue, & red/cyan, and then there are the polarized glasses.

They are!

You can make your own 3-D images with a digital camera and Photoshop.

Here is one that I did, using the technique described here...

The one difference: Since these glasses are green and magenta, in step 4, select the red and blue channels vice the green and blue channels.

Follow the steps carefully. I used a tripod to make sure that the two photos were individually aligned. This was for a different technique that I tried a few years back, as seen in this animated gif...

Just got the glasses. Nice. I think GIMP can do the same thing.

The video clip looked OK, but not as good as your images.

Your photo is great, nice and bright. The movie clip is so-so because it's so "dark" (nature of the movie, I guess) and small.
