The same people who would be seething a couple years ago, dish out excuses now that their guy is the one running the orchestra.
Unless people start standing up for what they believe in no matter who is in charge, we deserve every single BS that comes out of Capital Hill and the White house. |

| Seriously. It's little more than pseudo-patriotism pong. It's certainly not helped by the cable networks. I think keeping people bickering certainly helps grease the rails for policy that's not in most human beings' best interest. |

You forget the third leg of the stool which is the Media that heavily profits from the spitting contests while perpetuating the ignorance that keeps it alive.

So so true - you hit the nail on the head on this one.
Just imagine if McCain was president and he did this. People would have been yelling from the rafters - "More of the same!!!"
People's partisan views and lack of ability to see through party lines prevent any real change from happening. "It's only wrong when the other party does it" mentality that citizens express everyday and yet don't notice it needs to stop.
But alas, it most likely never will. |
