there are two types of resets with the EMTA, a MTA reset which resets the phone modem portion of the EMTA, or a full reset which resets both the HSD and the MTA, you cant reset the HSD portion without resetting the phone side, but you can reset the phone side without resetting the HSD side. Sounds kinda dumb, but hope that answers your question.
