| Scam artist companies Hey everyone,
Today I met up with a customer who told me that a company called Starteck called him on his landline last night. They asked him if he was the account owner and then proceeded to tell him that they had taken over all of the billing services for Telus.
This is not true and is a known scam. Telus will never give out customer information too a third party company nor will they contract out their billing services. If you do get a phone call from a company asking about your billing information or information pertaining to accounts, please do not give it too them. Phone Telus directly afterward (if you can their number as well, write that down) and report it too our CSRs.
Again, never give out personal information over the phone, Telus will never call you and ask for that information.
