Greg_ZPremium join:2001-08-08 Springfield, IL 2 edits | It is how it fell this year because the 4th is on a Sat. Our clients are having fun right now, because no one is working, and they get a nice message stating that the call centers are closed for our state agencies.
With the Bicentennial Celebration this weekend, County & City also got the day off. What is even more fun, is when Lincoln's & President day fall on Friday & Monday next Feb.
»www.opm.gov/Operating_Status_Sch···2009.asp ** July 4, 2009 (the legal public holiday for Independence Day), falls on a Saturday. For most Federal employees, Friday, July 3, will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes. (See 5 U.S.C. 6103(b).) -- I threw out the map a long time ago. Now I follow my own direction! |

| Ok, well tomorrow our company is closed, but today were open. Anyone working tomorrow will not get paid unless they take personal time. Normally if the 4th fell during the week, everyone working would get paid for it.
I don't normally work Saturdays anyway. Once in awhile yeah, but it's not the norm. |
