The highest speed available for Uverse is 18Mbs down and 1.5 Mbs up. Every Uverse internet package has at least 1 Mbs upload.

As far as interleaved vs. fast path, interleaved is due to the DSL connection carrying the TV signal as well. It is highly unlikely that AT&T would put your connection on fast path, due to the TV service being degraded by doing so.

Putting your Netgear router probably wouldn't help your ping time. If anything, it'd probably make it worse as it is another device that your Xbox has to go through to the Internet.

If your Xbox is connected through WiFi, try plugging it to the RG. That might help your pings.
Type my area code into AT&T.com...48042. Max is 6Mbs Down and 768 Up.

Thanks for the help with the router

You might be looking at the max speeds for AT&T ADSL, which is different than Uverse. 6Mbs down/768 up would be the max speed for the ADSL service.

The 6 Mbs level for Uverse would have 1Mbs upload.

The max speed that you can receive with U-verse internet cannot be determined until the technician is onsite on the install date. The technician will test the lines and determine the signal strength. Dustman81 is correct about the maximum speed for U-verse internet.
