Go to this link and click the link i put an arrow beside in the attachment. When you put your info in like first and last name and email click continuer and it will take you to a another page where your key will be copy and paste it in when you install snagit and your done.

 I happen to have a newer version of SnagIt that cost me $, but for anyone who doesn't have it (or has never tried it), this version ain't too shabby either...awesome program, from a top notch company. (TechSmith)

I can't get it to install on my Win 7 64 bit box. It gets to the "installing snag-it printer" and just stops. Tried compatibility mode, no go.
If I recall correctly, you can choose a custom setup and not install the Snagit Printer. I never use that feature anyway (I'm sure many don't). Try a custom install in Windows 7.

That worked Howie, thanks. There is one problem. Everything listed under "Select a Profile then click Capture" is in French. Everything else is English.

 Anyone can download the English version 7.25 from here:

...and then use the key you got from the French version. (Any version 7 key should work.)

Wow, that's crazy... Any version older than the most recent is a security threat? I think almost all of us here use some software that we know and love that's just not the "latest and greatest". I believe this just causes needless worry and most likely is no threat at all in 99.9% of all "end of life" software.

I understand, but according to them, if you don't care to use a newer version of SnagIt, they "strongly recommend" that you uninstall or delete SnagIt 7.25. Isn't that a bit much? I think so...

 i will be uninstalling this version just wanna say if your gonna keep using it an notice recordings look crappy just do this set it for quality not speed and the target quantizer thingy set it to 2 or 1 thats it but it still doesnt look good to me so im goin back to the new version
