Multiple NAT active sessions to Domain Server

This is something I have never paid attention to so it my be normal.

When I just checked the Status page of my router I noticed that there were over 20 UDP NAT active sessions to my Domain server.

If I check it every few minutes the number changes from none to as many as 20+

Is this normal? TWC is my service provider.

P.S I have no idea what NAT active sessions applies to

That's probably reasonable.

Each DNS query uses a different UDP port, so that will be a new UDP NAT session per query, until it times out of the NAT table.
