Correct. When I call from FPL to others it just shows my FPL number. When I call from my Bell Landline, FPL shows Number+Name.

Re: About freephoneline.ca

No.

But I am not sure if company goes down what will happen to phone or number. I used almost two years before. The support was horrendous. Now the support is far better. Checkout their forums. If you buy ATA config file is sent to you within 7 days instead of 60 two year before.

The service works fine. I don't have a problem with it and it includes free LD to major cities in Canada. What more could you ask for? If the company dies in say 6 months, I'm still better off that without it!

For the record the company and CLEC behind them is Fibernetics ... and as far as I can tell TSI can port from them at least »teksavvy.com/en/nhomephoneclecli···=7&mID=1

Re: About freephoneline.ca

The service is provided by a Canadian Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) and all calls are placed over it’s own national infrastructure.

Both FreePhoneLine.ca and Clearpointel.ca are registered to the same person...Francisco Dominguez with a @295.ca email adress...

So they fall under the same umbrella....

·Primus Talkbroadband
·TekSavvy Solutions..

I use them... Excellent service.. worth the 50 bucks I paid to get the SIP info..

Already paid for itself.

They are owned by 295, which has been around since dialup days... They are routing the calls internally within their own network which is why they can do what they are.. If you use SIP you don't deal with ads, but if you use their softphone, it has ads on it..

I use them with my asterisk box..
