Re: User id and password for SBC 2Wire 2700HG-B DSL Router

You said you have DSL service from some local phone coop, not AT&T. So any AT&T username and password is not going to work on your modem. You need to use your username and password for your coop's PPPoE.

Or are you asking about the password to access the modem config. If you do a factory reset, I believe that is cleared to nothing.

The sbc 2wire has a factory set PPPoE username/password
sbcyahooreg@sbcglobal.net
sbcyahooreg

That's what you're asking for I think
Normally the PPPoE username/password is unique for every user no matter who the isp is

If you don't know the system password for the twowire it has a factory reset button near the lan ports

I purchased this unit on Ebay a few years ago. I have DSL PPPOE service from a local phone cooperative, not from SBC/ATT Today I accidently changed the user ID and password to the values used by the ISP provider, and I can not longer connect to the internet. I assume I need the SBC/2wire user ID and password? How can I obtain them? There are 10 people here waiting to use their laptops! Please advise and thanks very much!!
