michaelkirsc posted : So I am fine with AUX assuming the new role of cable, doing the 30 sec skip and going to guide and changin channels, but what about volume? I had set up the remote so that when I was on cable the volume would autimatically switch to tv and change volume and then I would not need to chane again. How do I do that w/ AUX? are there any other things I am loosing too?

Turn OFF the cable box

This occurred because the remote automatically cycles through all three entries (Cable, TV and Aux) when you press the "All On" button (the same issue arises when turning off everything).

The fix is to use the technique described by D Smoke but then go back and reprogram the Aux button to something other than "01376."
