Yea i don't have a way to reprogram my IR blaster. I am using Widows Media Center(MC) with a Windows Remote. I understand why i need to press menu.... i was just trying to make it stay on or figure out a way to get MC to turn it on before changing the channel. the problem getting MC or the IR blaster to send the "on" command first is if the machine is already on, it will actually be turning it Off before changing the channel. That is why the Motorola was such a genious idea. It turned on when you change the channel, so you never accidentally turn it off or record an hour of "please press menu on your remote..." blinking on the screen.
I guess i just have to make sure i do not turn off the STB when watching and monitor my 3 year old |

| This replacement driver combined with a program called Hip may do what you need. I didn't research it completely but I think Hip will send macros to the ir blaster. »www.byremote.com.au/Hip/mce_remote_faq.htm |
