This is inaccurate. The DHCP service is unrelated to the routing capabilities of the 2wire gateway. The only thing the DHCP service does is to provide dynamic ip info (ip addy, subnet, gateway, dns) to properly configured hosts.
When you speak of 2wire and 'bridged' mode you are referring to disabling routing.

Yes and maybe no.
