nunya posted : It does show it as registered (on both * and the ATA). I hunted around for some port or routing issue or other oddity that would prevent the 1120S from receiving any calls. I ripped and rebuilt the extension to no avail.

For clarification, everything is on the same LAN and same subnet.
--
Looks like Reverend Wright got his wish - God Damn America.

nunya posted : OK, Here's the odditiy I found with the DVG1120S:

You *have* to use ports 5060 and 5061. Other ports won't work.

So, right now I have a partial victory. I've got outgoing working (both internal and external) but no incoming (fast busy).
--
Looks like Reverend Wright got his wish - God Damn America.

toro posted : Mine used to work well (I am not using it anymore, I sold it). A few (obvious) tips:
- is your Asterisk in the same subnet as the DVG-1120 ? If so, make sure you connect the WAN interface of your DVG-1120 to your LAN
- if it's not in the same LAN (my case, where Asterisk is in a data center), the DVG will work with it only if it has a routable (public) IP address
- if you want to configure both channels to register, use port 5060 for one and 5061 for the other (that's in the User Agent settings). In the server settings you should use 5060
- don't trust the Query button to find out if it's registered. I've seen cases where it was registered just fine but the query would return an error. Use "sip show peers" on our Asterisk to check

nunya posted : Other deices have been working fine for months or even years. This thing simply refuses to register. I keep thinking there's a secret setting somewhere that I missed. The only solace I have right now is that this happens to a lot of others trying to use this ATA with asterisk.
--
Looks like Reverend Wright got his wish - God Damn America.

nunya posted : So, I got the old 1120M and flashed it to an S. I followed all the nice online tutorials and I still can't get this thing to register with my trixbox server. Anybody else get one of these to work with *? If so, can you share your configuration?
--
Looks like Reverend Wright got his wish - God Damn America.
