Re: Value in Stephen King Collection?

The "hobbling" kind made me squirm

I was partial to The Stand (unabridged).

I loved IT, and also I really liked The Tommyknockers as well. The Stand too.

First Stephen King book I ever read was Firestarter.

BTW he has some great short stories too. Some have been made into movies, some haven't. I remember the story "Trucks" which was made into a fairly crappy movie called Maximum Overdrive.

There's another story I loved but can't remember the title. It featured a Hitman fighting for his life in his high-rise condo because the mother of one of his victims sent him a "special" present of well equipped Toy Army Men.

The Mist was great, but it just ended..... The Running Man kicked ass..... The movie is nothing like the Book. I've never read The Shawshank Redemption, but it's a REALLY good movie.

One that I thought was a surprise was "I am Legend".
If you haven't, pick it up, it's relatively short.

It's really weird if you saw the movie. It's about 90 degrees off.
They are alike, but then they are not.
