| reply to powerspec88 Testing a special enclosure I just built for my omni antenna to make it more...directional. Seems to be working really good so far. This is the best speed test I've ever had in my entire time on EVDO (tho the ping kinda sucks atm). Will post more as I fine tune the enclosure.

1 edit | Doing a few more tests:
Seems the 1.99 Mb/s one may have been a fluke. Rest of them have been consistent at 1.09 so far. Will do some more tweaking of position of enclosure.
EDIT: These have still been better than what I've been getting recently, even at this time of night. -- Windows XP Pro SP3 / Windows 7 64bit RC|AMD Phenom X3 8650|Asus M3N72-D Motherboard|4GB Patriot PC2-8500 1066MHz RAM|EVGA GeForce GTS 250 1GB Ram Superclock Edition |

Twenty minutes ago, my account was upgraded to unlimited ($70). I'm in a rural area, within Sprint's bright orange coverage, using a Franklin CDU-680.
The speeds above are typical, with a range of about 1.0-1.35Mbps down. Some Millenicom users have mentioned that their download speeds seem to have increased since going unlimited. Is this possible? If so, is anything required on my part, such as a power off/on recycle? |
