Re: one channel moving to digital in pittsburgh 8/3 how can the adelphia areas be receiving MORE channels/hd channels than those of us in att/tci areas? Did adelphia take that much better care than those of us in att/tci areas? Makes me want to move to an adelphia area, not only do they still have the sa boxes/guide but NOW they have more channels than the rest of us. |

1 edit | It's a hit or a miss with the old Adelphia systems. Sometimes they were better, but I've seen many that were even worse.
Some had 870 MHz gear and DOCSIS 2.0 with 64QAM upstreams. While other's were as shitty as 550 MHz or 330 MHz, old outdated plant design, noisy return, messy wiring in the headend, total disorganized clusterf-.
Some were Motorola based with the old tan guide. Yes the TAN guide! Nothing sucks more!
Just like Comcast, it's a hit or a miss. |

Right before Adelphia was broken up, they upgraded a lot of their markets, so they are relatively newer and better than some of Comcast, ATT, TCI markets. -- CheckSite.us | YourIP.us | Reverseip.us |

 | Our area was one of the more upgraded markets, and we are going all digital here soon... so Comcast must be using our upgraded area as a jumping point to get more stuff into exadelphia |
