how to do same thing on 15 xp machines?

we got a win 2003 server, and 15 windows xp machines

how do i change the background image to the same thing on all of them, and also add a shortcut to a network share on their desktops?

Group Policy if the 2003 server is configured as an AD controller and the XP machines are joined to the domain.

If you're not running a domain then you go to each computer, map the drive for each user, and change the background for each user.

Bingo. In other words, you have to do it manually on each XP machine.

You may be able to do it via the local security policy perhaps and apply that to each machine, but that would be as much work as just mapping the drive and changing the desktop.
