key or passphrase on a 2wire133

I am set up on a dlink router and I am getting poor connection.When i try to connect to the router I get other options of other connections that will have stronger signals and security.One of the connections that is available is 2wire133.When I try to connect on the 2wire133 it ask for a key or passphrase.Can someone help me please.

Given the above statement the 2wire133 network does not belong to you. Furthermore the owner of the network has at least attempted to secure it which is why it is asking you for a passphrase. What this means is that it would be illegal for you to connect to that network. It is known as signal theft and/or unauthorized use of a computer network... Google it.

Hi,

What you need to do first is to determine if the 2wire133 is YOUR wireless network. By default, your wireless network should be using the name of the modem (2wire) and the last 3 digits of the serial number of your 2wire. You can locate that at the bottom of the 2wire that starts with SN (Serial Number). Once you determine your wireless network, the key or passphrase by default is the 10 digit number enclosed in brackets that should be under the serial number of the 2wire modem.
