Re: [connectivity] 5 minutes up time before loosing connection

There's nothing wrong with your line. Since your modem is in bridged mode, it's normal for the Internet light to be dark. It will turn slightly red during boot. It will be green/red if the modem is managing the connection.

@ The poster above: Your problem is with your upstream margin and sync. Proper sync rate for that package is 864kbps. Also, upstream attenuation is typically half of the downstream attenuation. Plug your modem into your NID and post up the stats from the NID.

Connection Name Connection Duration Status Number of Reconnects
My Connection 00:09:20 UP 100
^^ 44 disconnects since I last posted

Transceiver Information Downstream Path Upstream Path
DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 3360 864
Margin (dB) 14.0 10.0
Line Attenuation (dB) 39.5 28.0
Transmit Power (dBm) 17.8 11.9

My stats fluctuate alot at least my margin does,
Upstream is usually 864.
Margin i've seen 2-->16
I didnt always have this problem just the past 2 weeks, my line attenuation hasn't changed though.
I don't have access to my NID

Hmm, looks like Verizon is the issue after all LOL

After reseting my modem to default mode the internet light still did not work. The only reason I placed the modem in bridge mode was I could not connect to the internet with the ethernet cable in the internet port on my router.
