I'd guess a cold solder joint. If you still have the circuit board out look very closely at the solder joints, you may find a pin that has too little solder, or no solder at all.
I once had an issue with an old Chevette, where one side of the ribbon cable going to the instrument cluster had come off just enough to cause the end conductor to not make contact.

Thanks. Yeah. I couldn't id where exactly on the reverse of the circuit board the LED was (the gauge needles didn't really look like they wanted to come off and I couldn't find any posts along those lines for an 05).

Putting it back together (and like you I was wondering about the cables) didn't fix it either! LOL!

I will continue to do some research and see if there is another answer, but I think I will end up paying the local junkyard a visit (I really prefer the OEM look).

Unless anyone else has any thoughts?
