Re: Modem/router - New router = No Access to Modem your PC has to be within the same IP address range as the target router to access it from the LAN side.
one way is to connect your PC directly to the 6100 and give the PC a static IP in the 192.168.2-254 range, (with a default gateway of 192.168.1.1 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0).

assign 192.168.1. 1XX for ip address. XX is any number
I use the USB port to check the modem stats.
