[Vista] indexing service-start menu searchbox

so i just got a vista (64) computer
the start menu has that searchbox
however the results take quite a while to show up - its searching the actual files every time i search for something... = quite inefficient
(ive been using Launchy on win XP and the results pop up instantaneously ...)

is there any way to tweak the vista indexing/search box so we get instant results?

soapbox @rr.com	thanks, doesnt help though... also went and selected just a few of the document types to scan still it starts to scan fresh for files every time i go type in the search box... doesnt it keep a database so it doesnt have to search every time?
