Looking for Windows 7 compatible USB wireless adapter

The Zonet ZEW2500P has a 5 egg Newegg rating and is Vista compatible but not listed on the Microsoft Windows 7 compatible hardware list. Does anyone know for a fact that it will be Windows 7 compatible or should I assume that since it's Vista compatible, it will also be Win7 compatible?

I would think Windows Vista = Win 7 compatibility wise like Windows 2000 was with XP

If your running 64bit make sure their are 64bit drivers available at the manufactures website, just in case.

Prudent to use a mainstream, name brand adapter in these early days of Win 7.

This is the best selling wireless adapter on Newegg. Wouldn't that qualify it as mainstream?

I have a ZyXEL G-202 802.11g USB adapter running on a Win7 RC1 (build 7100) 32-bit laptop using the Vista drivers from the included CD. This USB adpater also runs under Ubuntu 9.04 natively.

No. Best selling means cheap usually means lousy engineering. Common sense.

Mainstream+consistent quality = Linksys, in terms of likely having proper drivers for the very latest operating systems. Alternative might be ZyXel. But Netgear, D-Link, no: they are marketing heavy, engineering poor.

Using non-mainstream with cutting- edge operating systems is always a problem.

I'm using a Netgear WG111T with Win 7 occasionally. Plug & Play.
