Perrin7 : Is there any place to look and find out if specific areas are planned to get upgrades?

I ask because looking on Telus' site, I'm supposed to be eligible for Turbo. Talking to a sales rep, they also said my area is eligible for Turbo, so I ordered it (couple weeks ago).

I received the 2wire modem, that has been working (at 1.5Mb speeds), and today a tech was scheduled to come out and compete the upgrade.

But he phoned this afternoon and told me he has checked and my area does NOT have 15Mb available, the sales person has made a mistake, and he will put me on a list for when it is available. He had no idea when (if?) that would happen.

IS there nay place that I can turn to find out if this sort of upgrade is already scheduled, or perhaps I shouldn't hold my breath?

Also besides the salesperson, I had called into tech support twice (once when I got the modem - that tech said teh provisioning would happen that night; the second time was a couple days later when nothing had changed, and after going through the script then being passed off, the 2nd person said they needed to arrange a local tech to do the upgrade) and neither time did the people I spoke with mention that I may not be eligible (and I had asked the salesperson on the phone directly). Do they really not know until the local tech gets involved?
