Re: [ fiber tech] Help!! failed fios install

Then where can they get power from. The tech said she would have to run it off the tenant utilities? Was she wrong?
thanks
Jeremy

Is it less than 50 feet from a receptacle in your unit to where the ONT is?

If so, the BBU/PS can be mounted in your unit with the ONT where it is.

Or you give the tenant free internet service in return for powering the ONT.

Without seeing your property, I cannot answer where you will get power from. As an example however, if your unit is an over under duplex, usually there is some place that it can be installed. Whether it be a closet, garage, etc... Pics would do wonders.

I can't offer much help here as far as the OP, but I do know VZ does not use contractors for FiOS installs. Only union member, VZ employees.

They can in the Ex-GTE areas.
