Thanks Matt. After I wrote this post, I called the support line and a tech did come out. He changed the gateway and until tonight all has been well. I just got on the computer to find no internet for a minute or so. I am curious to see if this has been happening while i am not home. Is there a way to check connectivity logs? please let me know so I can keep an eye on this. You should be able to go to »192.168.1.254/mdc which is the advanced page on the RG, and it should also contain the logs link at the bottom, also if you click the "Detailed Statistics" Link at the top left under the "Broadband Link" section and it should show you something called "DSL Unavailable Seconds" which will show you your downtime for the day, you can also reset these stastics via a button in the top right corner daily to monitor it. If you're still having drops then sign up on here, and private message me your billing account number and a good number to call you, and I'll make sure we get this resolved.
Thanks, Matt

| reply to MONT1 Can I work on this?
Hello I'm Matt with U-Verse Tier II Technical Support If you would please private message me your U-Verse Billing Account number, and a good call back number, I would be more than happy to contact you regarding this, sounds like there could be a bad gateway, or maybe a outside wiring issue that's causing this. The U-Verse Care team would be more than happy to handle this, if you would prefer you can also e-mail uversecare@att.com
Thanks, Matt

| I have gone years without a disconnect with ATT DSL. Switched to U-Verse a year ago and all ran smothly until about 5 weeks ago or so. I added digital phone service in April but I didn't really realize if my troubles started then. It seems to be more frequent now as it is now happening almost daily. Tonight was the worst with a half dozen disco's. I have the 2 Wire 3800HGV-B. I called ATT today and the cycled my gateway today. This seems to only have made the issue worsethan ever. When this happens I loose my phone and TV Also. The disconnects last for about a minute or 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
