Also the "open garden" idea he's talking about is essentially a consumer-regulated traffic shaping. Interesting idea. Better than the ISP determining it at least. The problem comes in when they start asking for more money for certain sites. |

| reply to static416 Pretty much everything he's talking about can also be used in a negative way, such as Bell is deploying DPI and blacklisting all P2P for a certain time of the day. I'm afraid that the CRTC will not look deeper into the issue and see blacklisting/whitelisting as a solution which is not at all a solution to congestion when Bell has essentially neglected to upgrade. |
