I think the bigger issue is that Juniper doesn't want to talk negatively about the ways their product could be used by ISPs.
It's like asking a gun manufacturer if their product could be used to kill people. They'd say "depends on the way the product is implemented" |

They do not want to get involved and say the wrong things when it comes to that stuff, just like to show what could be possible from a network engineer standpoint. |

I must say that it seems like the CRTC has good questions, but they are kinda getting the run around on the answers. They need to be a little more aggressive in getting real answers to existing issues.
Juniper and Sandvine weren't exactly dishonest in their answers, but they basically refused to talk openly about the ways the ISPs actually use their product. Instead they stayed in 'theoretical land' where everything is rosey, and the consumer has all the power. |
