lineshare...how long to remove?

I switched DSL providers on the 26th of last month(june). AT&T still has lineshare on the line so my new ISP is unable to give me service.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get this off of my line so I can go with the new service? I know AT&T was notified on the 30th to remove it.

I don't understand... your new dsl provider will give you a "dry loop", so having a lineshare dsl in place shouldn't be a problem.

can't have a dry loop in my area.
I still have to keep an active phone line with it. I kept the phone line active and just switched internet providers.

The new provider says they can't give me an install date until at&t removes the line share so I'm stuck in limbo

Your new provider a Covad reseller?

Did YOU place the disconnect order with AT&T? Just because your new ISP says they will do it doesn't mean squat.

If your new ISP is an ASI reseller, well, there's no reason for the delay.

I found out why the delay/problems.

My old provider placed their cancel order before my new provider got their switch order in.

anyway, I just got my install date for thursday. I hope I don't have to go through this again.
