| Central Air Unit Not Cooling House
I have 2 units- one upstairs and one downstairs-
The upstairs is blowing- I feel the air blowing- the thingamabob outside (can't think of the name) is operating, but no cold air. I did notice that there's no water being pumped out.
I hear its the compressor, but hopefully it's something else. Is there a few other checks I can do before I call the rapis- I mean the HVAC guy?
Thanks! |

| Check to make sure the filter is relatively clean and that the indoor coil is not iced over. If you don't know where your indoor coil is, follow the drain line and it will be located in the metal box where the drain enters. If the unit doesn't have sufficient air flow or is low on refrigerant, the evaporator coil (inside coil) can freeze over. That is about the extent that you'll likely be able to troubleshoot things without more technical knowledge from the sounds of your message. |
