[northeast] Actiontec MI424WR config_signature - how is it creat

I'm trying to tweak the configuration file, but when I try to use the altered file to restore, the MI424WR says the file is corrupted. I assume that the config_signature at the end is some kind of hash total. Does anyone know how that hash is created?
