Problem went away. Actually, that's supposed to sort of "simulate" (although it doesn't) surround sound using two speakers. It has a widening effect on stereo separation, but also tends to lower everything that is equal on left and right, such as dialog.
I personally don't like any fake surround modes such as these, no matter what the situation. |
