| Will acetone harm PVC?
I am going to re-grout my shower floor, which is natural marble, and lined with a flexible PVC shower pan to a PVC shower flange/drain. Will acetone, used to prep the surfaces, harm the PVC? Are there any caveats in it's use such as dilution ratios or don't let sit precautions? Thanks in advance. |

| Acetone will have an effect on PVC. Many factors are involved though. Strength of the solution, time that the PVC is exposed to the acetone, probably the type of PVC and the finish will be a factor also. Doesn't sound like you could do a test on it in an inconspicuous area. -- Sometimes My Mind Wanders.....Other Times It Leaves Completely! |
