Is there a way to play old Sega games on PC?

Is there anyway I can play games like Streets Of Rage on my PC?

Or any Sega Genesis games that were good? Surely there's a website out there for this?

Emulation is the way to go here. Use Gens or Kega, both are equally good but I prefer Kega. As far as roms go there everywhere and google is your friend. If your one of those that have to dish out money for 20 year old games to feel honest, then kindly disregard this post.

^^ I'm not sure if your trying to help me in that post or saying go my way instead of paying..

I'm just stuck on this one part, and would appreciate if SOMEONE could help besides going off topic.

If you want to play sega games, and don't mind pirating them then I suggest emulation with either Gens (its an emulator) or Kega (it too is also an emulator). As for the Roms (these are the games) you have to seach using google...

example 1 emulator

type "kega" into google
»www.google.com/search?q=kega&ie=···irefox-a

example 2 roms
type "sega genesis roms" into google
»www.google.com/search?q=sega+gen···irefox-a

i can't make it any more clear then that.

Did you even read what I wrote above? Or watched the video?

Ya I saw it and I have also read everything here, but this subject matter touches in areas of grey and I can't dance any more closer to the line then I already have. The rest is up to you.

All I'm asking for is help on what to do in the video at the 7:43 min mark.

That turtioal is for Sega CD NOT Sega Genesis, so that part is a little different.

I hardly doubt you can get in trouble for downloading games off a website that is not even a torrent for 13+ year old games.

Ok you need the bios in order to play sega cd ISO's.

Again I can't tell you where they are but only provide you that you should search for them with google.

If you already posses them, then place then in a folder like he's describing, the run the emulator, under "options" is "bios/misc files", this is where you enter the paths to those bios files. Once thats done under file is a option "boot cd" this where you run your ISO...you do have the iso...right. If not, then you have to google for them.

you need to be more specific on your exact problem your having.

If your new to emulation might I kindly suggest you read the readme file that came with the emulator or spend some time in the Gens or Kega forums. There is a ton of info out there if you would just look.

I'm not sure how much more detail I can say that I need help with other than what I pointed out in the video.

I start up Fusion (from the description of the video) I go to Options>Set Config >>and this is where in the video he goes to Sega CD instead of Sega Genesis to load the Bios ..

Edit: Okay..I just saw another Youtube video..and this guy didn't even bother loading up a Bios in Fusion..

I just dragged and dropped Streets Of Rage into Fusion (with the snowy picture window) and its now playing the game..

Is there no way to make the window bigger though?

Edit 2: n/m you click Video and the setting is in there to make the screen bigger.

Yeah, you don't need a BIOS file for the Genesis part of the emulator, only the Sega CD and 32x needs BIOS. Genesis BIOS are optional and they only are for displaying that text that displays when you first turned on the real system.

What's a good controller to use on the PC that doesn't have a shitload of buttons?

Also..anyone know any good Rom forums or old school console game chat in general?

I got a Saitek gamepad at Wal-Mart on clearance for 10 bucks. It's got rumble and everything. Looks a lot like a PSX gamepad.

You could also look for USB sega gamepads on eBay.

..I already went ahead and bought a wired Xbox 360 controller on eBay.

Its taking forever for this guy to ship it out though..looks like hes using checks or something? I used my bank account to pay it over Paypal. Which I thought he got it instantly after that.
