IF you have a newer tv with a digital QAM tuner built in then there are no worries for you. You will just need to rescan after the change.

If you do not have a newer TV then DO NOT buy a convertor box. These are for over the air broadcasts and will not work for digital cable.

If you are in this scenario you will need a set top box provided by the cable company.
