 DSL Losing Connection

So, my DSL modem has randomly started to lose the connection. This just started on Friday. Up until then we've had no problems in the 6 months that I've been back on Zoomtown. The DSL light on my westell just flashes. I've tried everything that I know of, so I've done the unplug the modem, unplug the phone lines, unplug all the other phones in the house, etc. Nothing seems to work. I have CB coming out, but not until the 13th (the earliest they could fit me in) - does anyone have any suggestions?

ask them for a few line filters to try out , you might have a bad one

Nope. I switched out the entire modem, and with that came new filters. I've tried the filters, and I've tried unplugging the phone. Neither works. Thanks though.

I am having the same trouble. Initially I had a 4mb connection that worked great. The it would not stay up so grudgingly I let them change it to 3mb and it worked great for a long time. Now the 3mb connection is unstable. I spoke with a tech and they changed the speed to 2mb without telling me. Now I am on hold to let them know this is unacceptable since I am at 1/2 my original speed. Does anybody have suggestions? I have swapped out modems, Westell 327W in the past to solve problems. May I have to do this AGAIN. What's the deal with the WEstell modems? do they only work a few months and then crap out. Even though I have a home run connection I have filters in place on all of my phones.

Below are my transceiver stats. Are they OK or crappy?

Transceiver Revision: 6.0.4.217
Vendor ID Code: 4
Line Mode: T1.413 Mode
Data Path: Interleaved
Transceiver Information Downstream Path Upstream Path
DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 2048 768
Margin (dB) 14.0 7.0
Line Attenuation (dB) 59.0 31.5
Transmit Power (dBm) 16.9 11.9

Thanks for any suggestions.

I lost my DSL yesterday - they originally told me 7 days before a tech could come to my house. I knew it was not my house. I got a new Westell 6100, and had the same issues. Tried to talk to managers, etc. Finally got the engineering department on the phone, they told me that the communication card for my line at the switch house was in error. they pulled and re-seated the card. seems to be working fine now - 24 hrs later.
