Definitely try changing the channel as mentioned. Try ch 1 or 3. No one uses them since most think ch.10 is better and that's if they even change from the usually default ch.6;) But if that doesn't help I'd recommend looking at power line lan adapters. I've found they work a bit better than adding a repeater for tough spots.
